Pen shading and evening stroll

I had a pretty quiet morning, a bit of jigsaw and popped out to post some letters. Had a fairly early lunch as the drawing class started at 1pm. I took a picture from one of the upstairs windows in the art centre.

The pen shading class was interesting, but not a lot to post as she showed us different techniques and said we could finish them at home. I will endeavour to finish them and practice!
After dinner Tina suggested going for a stroll, parking at the Loch of the Lowes and walking along the woodland walk. It is a narrow, single track road to the car park, and it’s closed when we arrived, so had to drive on as there was no way of turning round! We then had quite a long drive, but the plus side was we saw lots of pheasants, a small game bird, possibly a quail and best of all a hare that ran along the road in front of us before disappearing into a field. It was a very pretty ride, partly long side the loch and when we neared Dunkeld Tina parked up for us to have a walk long to the cathedral. Quite a few photos and I will make some comments now. There are black rabbits as well as the usual wild rabbits and a couple of shots of them. There were huge cut down trees and a great bench made out of one.

Picture of the puzzle tomorrow!

  1. Is the jigsaw still proving to be easier than the last one?
I think the shading even on those small bits looks good. I look forward to seeing what you achieve when you put it into practice.
The road up to the lock sounds a good one. Were there any passing places on it? What happens if you meet another car? Great to see all the wildlife though, especially the hare running along 😊
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a black wild rabbit. The walk looks a nice one. It looks very tranquil where Tina is sitting. I love the bench cut out of the huge log! I’m surprised they weren’t planked by anyone to use the wood. Maybe it was rotten when it was cut down. All in all a nice little adventure.

  2. It was a very nice way to end the day and although it wasn’t a long walk I was pleased that my leg wasn’t nearly as painful as yesterday. I have never seen black wild rabbit either but there are a lot of them and if they were crosses they would all be black.
The cut down trees are enormous, a lot of logs there!
The jigsaw is pretty tricky, so the jury is out!
