A dull day

It was actually quite nice this morning, the heading is as much about my mood as the weather! I did get in the garden for a couple of hours. Carried on clearing the small bit I had started and then a bit more.

Very boring and it all looks the same. Took pictures of where I have been and where I have got to go to sort that side. There is other stuff to be done but getting along this side is the priority, unless it finishes me off first!

Tina got dinner which was nice and I watched a bit of snooker with her. I sat at the jigsaw for a while, but my heart wasn’t really in it and there is an awful lot of sky! I need a bigger box for the pieces as I have them in an ice cream container and can’t find the bits I want easily.
Have been doing some crosswords, hopefully I will feel a bit more motivated tomorrow. The rain and sleet have been falling most of the afternoon and the wind is building up so highly unlikely I will do anything in the garden tomorrow as it will be too muddy. So there is respite in sight!

  1. It’s been quite pleasant here today, but I didn’t have gardening to do, so at least I could enjoy it a bit. You’re making a really good job of the clearing. I know how hard it is to do too! I’m not at all surprised your mood isn’t the best ☹️ You’ll laugh about it another day……maybe. It definitely sounds like you won’t be going out there tomorrow. From what I heard on the news this storm is going blow Scotland away πŸ˜‚
It’s always nice to have a meal cooked for you, and that’s one less job for you to bother about.
If you didn’t have the gardening work, or gardening torture, in the back of your mind I’m sure you’d be enjoying the puzzle a bit more.
I’m sure you’ll feel a bit better tomorrow. You’ll look out to a foot of snow covering all the grotty bits of garden and will be happy to see it 😊
A good nights sleep would probably help too. So fingers crossed 🀞

  2. Not a lot to add about the day really, hopefully you are right and I will laugh about the garden some time in the future, time will tell.
I will sort out a tray or something so that I can find the puzzle pieces I want more easily.
Fingers crossed for a reasonable night and it is not windy enough to keep me awake!
