Bit of this ……

This morning I walked into Dunkeld, we needed some groceries and a good excuse to call in Corbenic and have chai latte. Met four people from Tina’s congregation walking back, which was quite unusual. Did take a photo of course.

Nice blue sky so I took a photo from the porch when I got home.

I got us an early lunch as Tina has two services today. Then I went in the garden to carry on where I left off. I have never been so happy for rain to stop play, it did look a very full area, but it was worse than I expected as the roots reach right down to the grass. I didn't get far and there is a lot more to do to get that area cleared!
We made some space on the large table and I decided to start a jigsaw. I fetched this one back from America in a bag for less weight. It was one that Pat had done on her subscription. I have done the edge except for one pieces still in with the rest of the pieces somewhere.!
The rain did stop but I wasn’t tempted to go out on the garden again! I may never be again……..
Lazy evening planned now.

  1. You don’t need an excuse to have a chai latte. I bet you was good and didn’t have a slice of cake to go with it 😊
It even looks nice when it’s grey up there, but the blue sky is lovely in the other pic. You do have a a nice view from the porch.
You are bad being thankful for rain. You’re supposed to be a hardened gardener! I’d have definitely been the same though. The pic of the bit you did today shows off what you have to contend with. That’s a lot of weed. The soil itself looks good though. You’ll miss it once it’s all done.
Doing a jigsaw seems a much more sensible thing to do, but regardless of what you say, you’ll be ready and raring to get in that garden again another day 😂

  2. I used to be a hardened gardener, it is wearing a bit thin now! The soil looks surprisingly good, but getting it vaguely root free will be a challenge.
It will be nice to have a jigsaw on the go to spend a bit of time on now and again.
