This afternoon I went into the garden, I hoed round some of the beds and then trod down and levelled the large bed near the bird baths, walking round the garden I took a picture of one of the beds, s it is getting colourful now.
I then worked on a bit that had the bird feeder in and it had become overrun with the bird seed growing!
That was a bit of a challenge! There was a ground cover creeper amongst all the seed growth which I had to dig up. I will try to salvage some of it but it is just in water at the moment.
This yucca is in the bed near the bird tables, it was a very small clump I transferred from the front garden and I am delighted with how it has grown.
Before finishing for today I planted the two courgette plants I bought yesterday in the same bed.
It was very warm out this afternoon and I got really hot a well as tired!
I picked some daffodil buds from the front garden and this evening I did a sketch of them, I have been slacking a bit of late.
My favourite sort of breakfast place. I hope you managed more than one helping, or is it just me that’s greedy? 😊
ReplyDeleteI’ve not been in hobbycraft for a long time. I used to be a regular visitor at one point, but my “hobbies” have gone in a different direction. I must make the effort to go and have a look another day.
It’s nice to see the colour coming into the garden. It really does make the work worthwhile, although when you’re sitting in the chair knackered you probably don’t think that!
Are you going to plant any other eatables in the garden or is it just courgettes? I love the chicken, courgette and soup combination 😊
I like your sketch. Even if you only do one every now and then it keeps your hand in.
Restful evening I hope?
We only had one plate each, but a good sized meal and bottomless drinks.
ReplyDeleteThere is always plenty to look at and get tempted with at Hobbycraft.
I am pleased with how the gardening is going, still plenty to sort out but not feeling overwhelmed at the moment.
Not sure if I will plant any more veg, maybe.
