This morning I visited Bel, one of her wrists was painful today so I was allowed to pour the tea! After that I went to Botany hoping to see Sher but she was out at an exhibition by one of the artists that sells paintings in the shop. I did have a chat with her husband, Dave.
My veggie box arrived, very good as usual.
This afternoon I went into the garden and decided to try and work on the bed where the bird table is. I had hoped to get it all done but it was overly optimistic as that has been untouched for years and plenty of stuff has taken root.
After an hour nd a half or so I gave up, it didn’t help that my head/neck was hurting as well.
While I was relaxing a nice gift for Mothering Sunday arrived. Thank you Anya, I will be enjoying that on Sunday.
Going to watch a couple of programs with Darren this evening as Tina is out with a friend.
What is it with cats and boxes. They all do that. Mine used to jump in any box, or bags sometimes that were left unattended. In a house the size of the one you live in you’d think there were a myriad of different and more comfortable places to snooze! Weird creatures 🙂
ReplyDeleteYou were honoured with the tea pouring duties. I wish someone would pour mine for me.
The veggies look really nice. Since when were eggs vegetables? 🙂
I thought gardening would get a look in today. I think you’re always optimistic on how long things will take out there. Just think of a number and double every time. What you did do looks good. Glad you didn’t struggle on. It wouldn’t be the first, or probably the last time.
I’m very envious of your Mothers Day gift. I assume it’ll be scones and all the good stuff that goes with it? I hadn’t realised it was Mothers Day this weekend. Hadn’t realised it was clock altering time too!
Enjoy your evening.
There was honey in the box as well, you have to spend a certain amount to get the delivery so I order other stuff so that I don’t end up wasting the veggies.
ReplyDeleteThe cream tea has the tea bags, scones cream and jam and some biscuits, looks very yummy but will wait until Sunday eat it.
I won’t be planting anything in that bed for a while, it is full of various roots nd will need a few more digging spells once it is cleared.
