I spent most of the morning in the kitchen as I was making crumble as well as getting dinner for lunchtime as Tina is out this evening. This afternoon I went out into the garden to do some tidying in the area I was working in on Thursday.
I do think that someone who lived in this house previously had brick and boulder fetish! Every time I dig somewhere new it is like excavating! Today haul!
I worked halfway along that side that I hadn’t dug before, then went across to the other side after a tea break.
I didn’t get very far long the other side as I was getting tired and still had to move the bricks nd get the tools tidied away..
That’s enough exercise for today, taking it easy and have done a sketch.
Pottery Throw Down this evening.
Cats are nosey. They don’t like to miss out!
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy in the garden. I’m not surprised you were getting tired. It’s looking a damn sight better than it did before you worked on it. Not a bramble in sight….for now.
You’re always digging rubble out of that garden. Maybe they had lots of rockeries or they just dumped rubbish after little building jobs rather than dispose of it properly. One of these days you might find something good. You never know.
The daffodil sketch is really nice. Had to be done 😊
Enjoy Throw Down. I’m still on catchup with it.
It has become a bit of a joke finding so much rubble in the garden. Not really so funny when you are vending yet another fork!
ReplyDeleteYes, the daffodils were definitely calling out to be drawn.
May get into the garden in the morning, will see how I feel.
