That area wasn’t too bad except ner where I was standing. Took a while to clear though.
Had a break and then started on the next bed.
I had to did put some nettles, good to get a few of them out before they grow. I didn’t get that for, but little by little I am getting there.
I brought a hollyhock seed head into the house to do a sketch.
Went to see Lesley this afternoon and for reasons I won’t go into I found I needed to get a new passport quickly! So have a day trip to Peterborough in a couple of days. That was a stressful afternoon!
On a brighter note will finish with some pictures at Kew Gardens sent by a friend,
It looks almost like a summers day in those pics of the garden. I did say almost! As usual they do look so much better after you’ve put some work, a lot of work into them. At least it was only the morning, so by your standards you didn’t overdo it. By my standards you did about ten times too much 🙂
ReplyDeleteThat’s a lovely sketch again. I’m so envious every time I see one. It’s such a nice skill to have.
I suppose a trip to Peterborough is marginally better than a trip to Dundee or some other obscure place. At least you know your way around here 🙂
I do love those vases at Kew Gardens. It’s a really lovely place altogether. You know my interest in plants and flowers is virtually non existent, but I would really enjoy looking around there. I don’t think I’d come away desperate to construct my own garden though!
The wind was a bit cool, but I was down to a t shirt when digging! I am ahead of where I was last yea, so that’s good.
ReplyDeleteI hope to get down to see Judi this year and go to Kew with her.
At least I am used to the journey to Peterborough.
