Also passed this lovely ring of snowdrops on the way.
Rob was at the pottery today and ai did a couple of clearing up a jobs then he said that Caroline wanted me to make the ‘summer house’ for a set of the four seasons. He said we had the spring one and I looked at him blankly. Then he showed me the house that I had painted that is now fired and said that Caroline had decided that it was like a spring house. I am very pleased with how my first attempt at one of the little houses turned out.

I got all the equipment out and tried to remember how we made them as it was before Christmas! Now made and fingers crossed is survives as well as the first one did.
Then she said she would like me to paint a set of three hearts that she had made, so spent the rest of my session doing that.
I walked home and had an hour or so indoors before going to visit my friend who is back at home now with carers coming in. It is only a few minutes walk away and I spent over two hours with her. So quite a full day so a quiet evening in store.
I really like that sketch! I know it’s only a gate, but I think it’s good.
ReplyDeleteThe little house with the bees on is fantastic! I absolutely adore it. The colours are so good. I know you’ve made lots over the years, but that has to be in the top three. Brilliant! I really looking forward to seeing the new one finished now 🙂
The hearts look really cute too. I bet they’ll be very colourful when fired. You’re a clever old stick 🙂😂
After your busy day I hope your evening did end up being quiet. I think you earned it.
When I spotted the fence thought it would be different to sketch. I like the little house, shame if is staying at the pottery! I felt more confident making the second one.
ReplyDeleteWrote a couple of letters before going to bed so quite a productive day.
