I left a bit earlier today and called in to buy a couple of bits at Tesco before walking up to Freeport. Caroline had messaged me yesterday with the things she wanted me to do today. A very cold day and at one point I was actually shivering after being sat for an hour or so. At Christmas Caroline had made take away craft boxes with five small clay pieces and paints in for children to do at home, but not to be brought back for glazing.she had a set of space/alien cutters and wanted me to get enough made for five box sets. So I spent the first part of the session getting those made. Then I painted the decorated heart that Caroline had made, very sensible to let someone else paint it!
I walked home and did a few chores before going to visit my friend.
An indoor sketch again, maybe an outside on tomorrow.
No particular plans for tomorrow which is good, I can follow any whims that take me!
The alien pieces are really good. Kids will love to paint them I’m sure. I foresee you making more of those. The heart is very nice too, but as you say she had the right idea letting someone else paint it 🙂 You’ve made a damn good job of it though. So good in fact I’m sure you’ve put yourself at the top of the list for painting more stuff!
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas cactus sketch is great. I have to say your sketching really has got better since you’ve been doing one a day. Don’t take that wrongly. Your sketches were always good anyway. They just seem different now. I’m sure you understand what I mean……well I hope so 🙂
I’m sure you won’t be at a loss for something to do tomorrow. That’ll be the day……..
It was a productive day at the pottery which is good, and practice makes perfect with the clay work.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean, drawing every day means that I am ‘getting my eye in’ so to speak. I was pleased with todays effort.
Hopefully it will be fine tomorrow, and it would good if it was just a little warmer!
