After the church sale a couple of weeks ago Tina and Darren came home with a jigsaw for me. Given to them, for me, by a lady who I had donated a lot of knitting wool to. I started it last night, did the edges, I think this one is going to be enjoyable.
The sunset last night progressed to be really great.
Darren, Tina and I had arranged to go and have lunch at Irton garden centre today. I wanted some pots and compost as I am expecting a couple of trees to be delivered next week, and Tina wanted a cat grooming mitt like one of her friends had purchased. But before that I had a couple of packages to send so caught the bus to town. This man was cleaning the windows on one of the B&B's and I was amazed at how much control he had and what a good job he was doing.
I caught the bus home before we were due to set off. I did buy a couple of pots but will take a photo once they are planted up. Tina dropped me off in town on the way back as I had seen a funky case that I wanted to buy for my shorter trips. I carried it to the studio and spent a while with Donna and Sandy before Sandy gave me a lift home. When I unpacked the case, which wasn't the cheapest one I had seen but I really loved it, to my surprise there was a matching rucksack inside which actually made it quite a bargain!
How much fun are they? I have done a bit more to the jigsaw today, it really is a fun one to do.
A very different sky tonight, but still great.

  1. A nice day for you from the sounds of it. It's nice too that you got out for lunch with both D&T, as you normally don't get the two together. Irton is a nice place to go and eat, and shop too.
Well after seeing the case and rucksack I have to say they're very you! Not much chance of anyone wanting to pinch your case at an airport either! The rucksack was a definite bonus.
Nice skies as usual. Like the last one best with the rays spreading out.
That puzzle is a real easy one after the others you've done lately. Keeps your hand in though.

  2. I can't believe how different the skies can be,certainly a highlight of living 'up north' and 'up high'!! Love the case and the rucksack is a bit bigger than the nice blue one, so will take a bigger sketch book!!
