A great sky again yesterday evening, I was up and down like a yoyo!

My knee is still causing me some concern but Darren and I went to the boot sale early as we often do. We had our sausage sandwich and cuppa and then went off on our own as I guessed I wouldn't be wandering for long. I managed maybe half an hour, but I had the car keys and a book and puzzle book in the car. The only things I bought were some fun looking books for Isobel. Darren came back mid wander and said he has seen a nice little electric hot plate that he thought I might find useful. He got it for me on his second wander and it works well, I made a nice milky coffee to try it out!
He also picked up a dvd for me of the sequel to Born Free, so have watched that this afternoon, very brutal and sad ending!! I did a bit of sorting in the bedroom but have tried to rest my legs mostly.
I thought I would add a few more pics from York. When we were n the boat trip and coming back in to dock we noticed geese out for a stroll with their families!

We passed Clifford's Tower on the way to the Dungeon and my aim is to visit it and walk around the top when I am more mobile!!
A final picture of the minster taken from The Shambles area as we were making out way to the fish and chip restaurant.
Looking forward to the new series of Grantchester tonight.

  1. Those skies were well worth getting up and down for! Beautiful.
The little hot plate looks brand new. It should prove quite useful for you. Fried eggs on toast.....mmmm!
I can see why you intend to go back to York when you're walking better. I bet the view from the top of Clifford's Tower is a good one.
I'm ready for Grantchester too. A very good series.

  2. Pretty good skies again tonight! I do still have a frying pan....There are many reasons to get back to York, you could have a week there and still not see it all.
