This morning Tina and I went to shop early and of course had to had breakfast there first. Just pottered a bit when we got back and put my new flowers in a vase.
Just love the bright orange thistle style flower (without thorns) never seen them before. Then Tina gave me a lift to town on her way to a meeting. I needed to go to Savers at the bottom end of the high street and then made my way slowly up to the station as the top end of town. I was using the stick and it does help but the ankle was quite painful today. I collected some train tickets that I had ordered on line and then caught the bus home. The 'House' second season dvds arrived so watched a couple of episodes.A lovely day today, so went out to make my way to the cliff top, not too far, but too nice to stay in all afternoon watching House! Took picture of the remains of an allium and a poppy head, as they are both still very attractive.
I walked past the bowls centre and turned left for a change. sat in a shelter as the wind was quite cool although lovely.
Carried on in that direction and took a path I haven't been along before.
I ended up walking along by the bowling greens.
I then saw the pub on the corner near the cinema from a different angle, have never really looked at it properly before. A lady that used to go to the craft classes I attended used to be a housekeeper there.
I did a sketch whilst out, took some watercolour pencils but only a set of six so not a great selection of colours.
Holby tonight, I will watch It Takes Two as well.
Looks like a nice varies and pleasant day. I keep the flowers, very colourful. It's amazing you're still finding new paths and places relatively close to you after all this time. You would think by now you'd have been up and down them at least once. It's been really warm here today, so no shelters needed, but then we don't get the lovely sea breeze like you do.
ReplyDeleteI usually walk up North Marine and through the cut if I want to see the sea from the cliff tops, just went for the shorted route today, but it was very pleasant.
