Darren and Tina dropped me off at the Poundstretcher shop this morning as they headed off to Hull. It isn't far from the station but not in the main town so have never ventured there before. A great shop, will be going again, either with Darren or Tina in the car, or with the trolley so that I can get all my bargains home! Got this multi coloured wool to finish off the crochet blanket with, I think it will blend in well and look attractive.
I went to the hairdressers and am pleased with the cut again, then I went and had a look at the auction as it was a viewing day today. Didn't get tempted, but always interesting. Passed another interesting shop name on my travels, like this one.
I had the stick and was taking it slowly so decided to walk home. Went down Dean Road and was able to get some smoked blue cheese at Let it Brie. My ankle was sore when I got home so sat with my feet up and watched an episode of House. Then went down and made a few fairy cakes, Darren moans at me when I cook but he likes to have cake on hand really! Still in discomfort so have watched more episodes with my feet up whilst crocheting. Have I Got News for You later, so that will put a smile on my face!

  1. Is poundstretcher like Poundland or more like wilkos? Don't think I've been in one. Sounds like liked it though, which is all that matters. Good job you've got a big trolley!
I like the name of the tanning shop. Bet it wad t used as much this year with all the sun we've had.
Poor Darren, being forced to eat cakes, lasagnes and pies! Bet he didn't get any of the smoked cheese though. I really must find somewhere that does that sort of cheese around here.

  2. More like QD really, but a great shop. No, not been that much need for tanning this year unless you are on Strictly of course! The smoked cheese is good......

  3. The wool looks great, I have been thinking of getting some from our pound shop for Lada as she loves to crochet. 3.4 £1. Also light to send. Never watched House, what is it about? Looking forward to strictly tonight xx

    1. House is a medical drama from America. Hugh Lawrie plays the rudest but brilliant doctor. It is funny and interesting, worth looking for it. x
