This morning Darren and I went for breakfast as I had a money off voucher for fuel for him to use. We also called at the vets for pills and at the studio to drop off some Halloween cutters that I had bought for them. I watched an episode of House when I got back but then decided to go for a short walk. There is a beautiful nasturtium, self sown, in the front garden.

I was struggling a bit but walked up Peasholm Drive and went down to the glen a different way. This tree just near the park is beginning to turn now.
Peasholm Drive goes up quite steeply so you can look down on the park.
Going down to the glen there were steps, a lot of them, so maybe not a good idea!
But there was another way, presumably for easier access for wheelchairs and push chairs.
I sat by the lakes in the glen and did a puzzle. The leaves are falling and covering the water.
Photographed a young herring gull as I walked back through the park.
I sorted out the summer/winter clothes and also had a cull while I was at it. Darren and I may do a boot sale before they stop for the season. I had a birthday card to post, and as the shop at the top of the road are selling off their ice creams half price, I bought one and walked up to the cliff top to eat it. The sea was very foamy today and it was bright if rather cold up on the cliff top.

Walking home it begun to look like rain.
It didn't rain, and still hasn't, the beginning of the sunset was pretty.
Off to Peterborough for the day tomorrow to visit the elderly ladies, it will be quite a long day.

  1. Sounds like a varied day. Some lovely photos again. We've been so blessed with nice weather of late. What are we going to do when it gets really wintery? It'll make for a different sort of photo then hopefully. The autumnal tree is lovely, as are the skies, but my favourite this evening is the bay with the castle. I know you've taken so many of it before, but they're always different, with different sea patterns and lighting conditions.

  2. The sea is endlessly different as you say, I have taken lots of pictures of the bay and castle but it is always something that makes me want to take it again. As you say, the photos will be very different soon, not so sharp, but hopefully a bit more atmospheric.
