I haven't used the camera today, shock, horror. Well, not strictly true as I did make a collage of a few small sketches I did while I was away last weekend!
This morning I went into town, feeling a little negative about my appointment at the chiropractor as it has been a while now since I have been without pain in the ankle. He does listen and today did some manipulation as well as the general poking and prodding! He says that the original problem is pretty much solved but we now need to iron out the wrinkles (pretty good phrase for someone fast approaching seventy!!) He has set me an exercise which I thought would be easy, since getting home I have realised I can barely manage two seconds as opposed to the twenty seconds I am supposed to hold it for! A way to go on that one then. I am seeing him again in three weeks. I had a walk round town and then went to Quilters Corner for out Thursday afternoon get together with tea and cake! Didn't take sewing with me today, did another little sketch instead.
Sandra liked it and thought it made it look like a busy little shop! Nothing planned for the rest of the day, except a little exercise practice!

I haven't been out today, except into the back garden. The ankle is feeling a lot easier, thankful for the rest I think! I punched out the holes in the plant tubs I bought yesterday and then got the four acer trees planted up. I wrote the variety name on each pot, as they are all different, and I will never remember!
They all look healthy, lets hope they can cope with the wind! A close up of the most leafy one!
I had some washing in the machine and thought it was time to try and make a batch of the small, stacking sponges again, but this time decided to colour the icing and not the cake mix. Also used my usual cake recipe as we thought the first one was a slightly odd texture. Three of them looked a lot better, the ones on the lower shelf were paler.
The final cake looked an improvement on any other sponge attempts I have  made since living here, and I have just been down and tried a slice and it is actually fairly sponge like, so onward and upward, may try another usual sized one....
Yesterday Tina bought me a shopping bag that you colour in yourself, so sat and filled it in this afternoon using Sharpie pens.
Will do my exercises again in a bit as I have an appointment at the chiropractor tomorrow.

I have walked into town today but other than that have had a pretty lazy day. I will put a picture of Isobel and I doing some puzzles in a word puzzle book over the weekend. We spent quite a lot of time and some of them were really difficult! But Isobel worked out loads, she is doing really well with the reading and understanding written language.
When I was in town my ankle was playing up a bit again and I wanted to have a cup of tea and a sit down, but town was busy and most of the cafes rammed! Went down Huntriss Row and saw this little place, definitely one to add to your list Mike!
I bought more bulbs for the garden last autumn and these lovely daffodils have started to bloom in the tubs out the front now.
Will finish off with an arty photo that I took on the train last night!
Off to see Guys and Dolls tonight at the YMCA, a production by l local youth drama group.

Final night at Center Parcs last night and we were packed up and out before 10 am, but you can stay on site for the rest of the day if you want to. We walked down to the village and had a game of ten pin bowling. Action shot of Anya, who got a strike on the first throw!
the have a stand for the little ones as the balls are heavy.
Isobel won the contest, she scored 100 which was pretty good! We walked down to the waters edge where the boating takes place and had lunch at the Pancake Place. What a fun pancake Isobel had!
A 'do it yourself pancake with sweets and toffee sauce!! A quick wander on the beach area before we made our way to the pool.
Anya and Isobel in the lazy river!
Isobel loves being in the pool area.
We got ourself dried and left the car park by about 4.45pm. A good journey back to Peterborough and I was at the station in good time to catch my train home. Both trains on time so a pretty good journey. Took this picture of the sky from the train!

We had booked to take an electric boat out today so were getting ready reasonably early. Big excitement to start the day as we saw a stoat out at the back of the lodge. There are plenty of squirrels, in fact one of them appeared to chase the stoat away. We did glimpse it again a bit later but didn't have time to get the camera out! None of us had ever seen one before, so a lovely start to the day. Did get quite a good picture of one of the squirrels!
We walked down to the boating lake.
The boat ride was lovely and Anya steered it very well.

We came back here for lunch and had a quiet afternoon, Isobel did go out to practice on her scooter.

She also collected lots more stones for her collection! Louis came across this afternoon for a while and that was really nice.
That was when we were walking down to the village to look around and get some dinner. We went to an American style diner.
Getting ready for our last evening now and Louis is on his way home.

A good day today, We walked to the centre early, got a bit of shopping and had a drink, then Isobel went into the play park for a bit. The whole place is wooded and very attractive.
When we went to get the tickets for the mini golf there was an otter and a fox greeting people!

The golf course is very attractive with wooden sculptures, mushrooms and fairy doors, plus a hobbit house!

We came back here for lunch and have been at the water fun park all afternoon, including going on the very scary wild water rapids which goes outside the building. I won't be trying that one again!
Bit damp outside now and time to relax!

Was up and ready for our trip this morning. Anya arrived for me by 9.30 am and we were on our way. This Center Parcs is at Woburn, very attractive area, hilly and wooded with the lodges over a very wide area. We went inside the complex where the sports activities are, we were here by about 11 am and couldn't actually go into the pool until 2 pm or the lodge until 3 pm. Had a good look round though.
The water activities building was pretty impressive.
After we had lunch we made out way back to the water park and spent a good while in there. A lot of fun, not real swimming areas, but one pool where they turn on a wave machine and another one like a trail with sprays etc coming out at different spots. also bit rubber inflatables like large rubber rings to use. Then we made our way up to our lodge which is very comfortable with three bedrooms. they are very attractive buildings.
There is a door inside with a message of welcome on, but it is also a chalk board so Isobel set to using it!
My ankle is a bit sore, so we are going to eat in tonight.
