Some nice family time.

This morning it was a bit of tidying, a nip to the shop and preparing the veg for dinner. Tina had rearranged their sitting room yesterday so there was more space and seating.

Anya, Louis, Isobel and Aurora arrive at 2.30 pm had a drink and we chatted for a while, Pandora has sped up the stairs as usual when the bell rung, so didn’t come face to face with Aurora. They stayed for a hour or so and then set off to walk the dog and get their bags into the holiday let.

They came back about five and I was timing dinner for six, Pandora hd been down for a bit but raced upstairs gain and stayed out of the way. Tina put their screen cross the bottom of the stairs so Aurora couldn’t get upstairs.

The dinner turned out okay and we opened some of the crackers I had made. Darren never wears the cracker hat but did briefly today, when the phones came lut Isobel was quick enough to catch him with it on, Anya took the one where he thought he had take it off quickly enough!

And one of the snappers!

Darren joined Anya, Isobel and me for a few games and Tina sat with Aurora chatting with Louis. When they went to their holiday home I came up and had Pandora on my lap for a while, she my have ventured downstairs now to investigate.
We are off to go pottery painting tomorrow.

  1. Sounds like you’ve had a good time with family and I’m guessing the dinner was better than the ok you gave it 😊
It’s a shame Pandora disappeared when they arrived, but a crowd of people and a dog would probably have the same effect on me! It’s good she came to you once they’d gone and didn’t stay in hiding. No doubt she’ll smell dog downstairs even if she didn’t confront it.
Darren in a party hat! Now that is something you rarely see 😊 I’d print it, frame it and hang it just for the hell of it πŸ˜‚
Pottery painting should be fun tomorrow……….and then maybe fish and chips πŸ™‚

  2. It was an enjoyable afternoon/ evening.
Probably will be fish and chips tomorrow, cooking one roast dinner is enough for me these days!
