I was up really late for me but got down to the banking hub and shops this morning. I cleared up yesterdays mess when I got back as we had another man coming round to make a removal quote.
After he had gone we got ready to catch the bus into Beverley as parking there is bad at the best of times. A bit of a novelty for Tina. We went to the bank as Tina needed to sort something out and then we went and had some lunch whick was very nice. Then we went in a few shops as I wanted to get some bits to put in crackers as I have a kit to make some this year. The buses are only hourly nd we had just missed one when we finished shopping so we went for a coffee before heading back to the bus station. The thing that spoiled it for me was my bunion decided to be really painful, if it’s not one pain it is another!!
When we got home our Christmas fruit and veg box had been left on the bench, well wrapped in bin bags. A lovely selection and a bit more than usual.they had boxes of different prices but you got what yu got.
There was still a fair bit of veg in the fridge so I prepared it all and am making soup. Then I had room to store all the fresh stuff. Before we left this morning some letterbox flowers were delivered tome from Rachel and Skip. I put them in water and after tea, when they had had a drink and were beginning to wake up, I arranged them in a vase. They are quite lovely.

Yet another busy day for you. I don’t know where you find the energy for it all. I had to laugh that with everything you have on your plate at the moment you’re still going to find time to make crackers! You are totally mad! 🤪🙂 No wonder you have so many body parts that give you grief 🙂
ReplyDeleteThe veg box looks really nice. They do a really good job putting that together every time. Plenty there for Christmas dinner, we’ll Boxing Day dinner in your case. I bet the soup will taste good with last time’s leftovers too. Nothing wasted.
The flowers are a nice surprise. They don’t look as though would compact down small enough to fit through a letterbox.
I went through a load of photos a few weeks ago. It’s very hard to have the willpower to get rid of any. They’re all memories that feel as though they should be kept.
Forget about the mess, that’s for the morning and it’s not here yet 😊
Yes, another full day but some progress although not a lot!
ReplyDeleteI will have to wear a pair of barefoot shoes tomorrow as they are the most comfortable but not a bit waterproof, so the weather may have an effect on that! The crackers will be fun, hopefully, and I can make them on Christmas Day which is a quiet one for us and have them ready when Anya and family come up.
The letterbox flowers look pretty sad when they arrive but with water and same plant food they soon begin to pick up.
I will have a lot of fruit to munch through as Darren and Tina aren’t big fruit fans, unless it is apples on a crumble!
