Today was visit and visitor day, up early as the gasman was due to come at 8 am. He got started on his checks before Tina left for a morning prayers and then a meeting. I thought he had nearly finished when I left to see Bel and Tina was getting back soon after to sign the paperwork. Bel was okay, still getting tired easily but that is hardly surprising. When I got back the gasman was still here and had found a problem, too much gas being released. So they had phoned to get Transo to send someone, he said that there was something that needed to be sealed and it was the responsibility of the provider. The original gas man finished what he could and the other guy left when Tina had been told that Octopus energy would send someone out within four hours. She told them that there is a vulnerable person in the property! Meanwhile the removal man came to have a look round to see what was gong to get us a quote. Jean came to see me nd we had a catch up. When we we were having our te Tina got a call to say the engineer was going to be later. He thought he was just going to seal something but said that we needed a new metre and regulator. He then hd to work while the job was raised. It is almost seven thirty now and is working as I speak, Tina and Darren are both out at the moment. He assures me everything will be okay and turned on before he leaves.
I have done a little bit of sorting and the veggie box arrived so sorted that out.
Will finish with a dirty carrot from the box!!

Well what a day! But as long as it all works in the end. You have to keep these vulnerable people warm 😂 Your uses are endless.
ReplyDeleteAre the removal people packing and moving the majority of your stuff too? I know you’ll pack your own niknaks.
So not quite so much sorting as you expected to get done today. You’ll just have to work harder over the weekend to fit it in! 😳
I love the carrot 😂😂
Saturday now and no gas supply, everything wasn’t okay, there is now a problem with the boiler!
ReplyDeleteThe carrot brightened up a challenging day😃
