The first photo today was sent by Anya, how good is this view to wake up to, that cottage has been a gem.
They had to be out of the cottage by ten and were here soon after that. They had a drink and packed some pictures and ornaments of mine that they were keeping into their bursting at the seams car.
We were going to the garden centre so that they could see what bargains they could find at the half price Christmas goods sale. I went up with Darren as there was no room in their car. Darren had to scrape the car and he called me over to see the patterns on the bonnet, not that you can see them!
The family did find some bargains and went round several times so they didn’t miss nything. We didn’t buy any ‘stuff’ as we re giving stuff away at the rate of knots at the moment. But we wandered around the other area and I got some single bed bedding at a great price and a new dairy as I didn’t get one from Ringtons this year. We met up at the cafe area and had lunch together before they set off for home and we got back just as Tina did. Haven’t done a lot this afternoon, ordered some change of address cards and a map of Birnum and Dunkeld.
I felt very tired a while ago and it has gone off a bit at the moment, but not sure I will stay up until midnight!
A hopy new her to everyone. See you next year.

That is a lovely view. I want to live there π They won’t get a view like that when they wake up tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI looked very hard at the car bonnet pics and I can’t make out any patterns as such. You can’t beat the naked eye!
I’m impressed that you didn’t buy stuff. Sheets and a diary don’t count as they are essentials. You’re so organised as well regarding the move. Address cards and a map are a good idea. You plan walks before you even get there π
I’ve been struggling to keep my eyes open this evening. I don’t think I’ll make it to midnight either.
Happy New Year……or Happy Hogmany as you’ll come to know it soon π
They certainly won’t be seeing a view like that, a lovely way to start their last day. A pity they found that college when it is their last visit here. Looking through the guest books at the cottage a lot of the comments were from people that had stayed there before.
ReplyDeleteNo, the ‘frosty’ photo is just white!
I haven’t got stuck into clearing today, onward and upward tomorrow.
