Extra bedding and I slept reasonably but the house has been very cold today. Went to the boot sale with Darren, we weren’t sure if it would be open as it is due to close completely because the new owners want to expand the leisure activities. There is a petition to keep it open, but I doubt that will be successful. There were a handful of cars and no cafe open but the sky made it worth going.
As it looked like a good sunrise Darren drove us to the front on the way home, and after photos we had a cup of chocolate. It is amazing the colours the camera picks up, quite different to what you re a ually seeing sometimes.
As we have no gas I used the slow cooker, the air fryers and two portable electric hot plates to get a nice Sunday dinner. After the kitchen was cleared I decided to go for a walk, it was a cold wind but I had been feeling cold indoors my way. I walked to Tesco and along the trail to the front. Didn’t take photos as there was nothing outstanding and I have taken so many. I did take a selfie at the front, trying to get the sky behind me.
I got a bit of shopping on the way home. Haven’t done much since, got my large hoodie on so was warm for the first time today, even dozed off in the chair. Was woken by Tina, she had ordered here’s under blankets for their bed and mine in case the boiler saga continues. She helped me get it one the bed. Apart from the Strictly results in a bit I haven’t nothing planned for the evening.

I hope you get the boiler sorted tomorrow as it’ll take a while to get that big old house back up to a decent temperature. Good job you all had those hoodies though. The electric under-blankets are really good. I’ve got one on my bed. I set it to number 3 and a 1 hour timer about 10 minutes before I go to bed and it’s really toastie 😊
ReplyDeleteShame the boot sale is closing down as you’ve had some good bargains from there. Hopefully you find a good one up in Scotland near to you so you can continue your Sunday tradition with Darren.
You have some great pics on here this evening. I particularly like the second one. Beautiful colours.
I knew you’d still manage to rustle up a good Sunday dinner. The gadgets all came into play at once 😊 I bet a lot of people would have taken the easy option and gone out for lunch.
It definitely looks a bit chilly in the selfie. Probably still warmer than being at home though.
Hopefully tomorrow will bring a gasman with a new board for the boiler………and it actually fixes it 😳
I have never had an under blanket so I will enjoy a toasty bed to get into.
ReplyDeleteIt was a lovely sky so good to be out and get some pics. I think the market and boot sale at Skirlington has been going many years, and attracts people from a large area. It will definitely be missed.
Keeping everything crossed that the boiler gets fixed soon.
