We had wires for the gasman last night who never came. I went up to bed t 12.30 am and Tina followed soon after, she had phoned to see if they were still coming, they weren’t and apologised for not letting us know. Tina said they may come in the morning so I was up again at seven, just in case. When Darren came down I went and go the rolls in for lunch and helped take the shopping in before leaving to work in the shop for a few hours. It was a bit chilly but I had quite a few customers and Haley made sure I got cups of tea. Tina messaged to say that the lad that had been yesterday morning was coming to see to the boiler at seven this evening. He did come name he was here for over an hour and decided that the boiler needed a new board. So he will raise the order for a new board first thing on Monday. Thank goodness for our extra large, extra thick hoodies. Tina is out nd we have to tell her the latest news on her return!
I am destined to to sit and watch Strictly undisturbed, will lock myself in my room for the final then there will probably be a power cut!!

A pretty cold day all round then. I know the shop is usually cold, but at least you got to move a bit if you had customers. Plenty of hot tea helps too.
ReplyDeleteThe boiler is a total disaster, more so this time of year. It’s also a big old house to heat, so portable heaters aren’t going to do a good job. I think the hoodies are the best bet.
Is it the final of Strictly tonight? I thought it was usually closer to Christmas. But I’ve not watched it for several years. Don’t be a pessimist, there won’t be a power cut 🤞🤞
