I went out before 8am to post a letter. The sky was very colourful.
Darren sent a text from his journey to work. This morning I moved a bookshelf that I don’t want onto the landing and got some stuff into a couple of packing boxes.Tina said she needed me to be verger at a funeral this afternoon so I went to the Factory shop to get some black trousers, luckily they had some that didn’t need shortening. We went to the church in plenty of time before a lot of people arrived. We straightened things up after the service.
I went to the shop again to get a copy of the local gazette. John, the organist made the front page and a full page inside. I would have gone to the service if I hadn’t been delivering cakes in Peterborough.
This evening I went to a workshop to make a pottery mosaic. It was a bit fiddly pressing out those circles with icing cutters. Suzy who ran the workshop will add some colour.Don’t think we will get them back until after Christmas.

Wow, some great sky shots to start with. I never seem to get any as nice as that down here. They’ll probably be even better when you get further north.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly do have a lot of plates in the air at the moment. Christmas, moving, crafting and being a verger to name but a few. I’ve said it many times, you put me to shame, and to be honest a lot of other people too! 😊
Shame you missed out on the service with John. Front page and a page inside the paper is very good. From what you’ve told me before I know he deserved it all.
The mosaic is unusual, but I quite like it. I can definitely see those circles being very tedious. I’m interested to see the finished result.
I hope you sleep well after your busy day.
It was quite a full and varied day, no chance of getting bored.
ReplyDeleteThe coverage about John was great, quite an honour to have the Archbishop of York there to make the presentation. Jean is in the background in one of the front page photos, that will have made her day.
It will be interesting to see how the mosaic looks when fired.
