Rain and reading

This morning I went for a wander around the outside of the house while the family were all exercising or walking the dog. So trees and lichen!

That cover near the pool is new since my last visit, the pool is covered for the winter now.

Went out with Patty to a large store called Target, it was good to look round but wasn’t tempted to buy anything else to pack in my case! It was raining and old when we came out so when back home I sat reading the book I brought with me for a while, but I took one more tree photo from the car before we came back as it had unusual colour.
I almost forgot that as we got back from Target there was a group of wild turkeys over the road. Not something you see every day!

This evening we went to have dinner with Patty’s parents, Pat and Sal and had a very tasty meal and I got to see there new place. Well not that new now but different to where they lived last time I was over. Pat gave me a jigsaw of tulip fields to take home. Maybe a photo of the picture tomorrow if I remember.
Hopefully going into the city tomorrow, fingers crossed the weather is kind.

  1. It looks very wintery in those photos. I know it's winter, but I always expect it to be a bit better than blighty. In fact it looks pretty much the same out of my window this morning! Shame I don't get to see wild turkeys though. Not sure they'd last that long here. They'd probably be in people's freezers by now for Christmas dinner!
You did well not to buy anything from Target. Your case will still be well under weight.
I hope the weather is kid to you today. The city is one of bits I'd look forward to.
    Have fun.

  2. I love seeing the turkeys roaming free, Patty doesn’t think people eat the wild ones, so I will believe that as that is what I would hope is the case.
It was a pretty miserable day but the youngsters all made their trips, Mark, Rebecca and back to the city by train and Kate to Virginia by plane.
Fingers crossed it will be dry today.
