Quite a busy day

This morning I started to ice the remaining Christmas cakes, I iced six and then made a one extr decorations. I was checking the names of people I was making cakes for and I didn’t have enough, I had got eight not six in th back of my mind. Then I realised that I had two more in tins! I had cleared everything way and had to use it again to ice the last two and make more decorations. I had enough decorations for three and will do the rest tomorrow.

Tina had been in touch with the auction house so after lunch I intended to start sorting some things out. They are coming on  Monday evening next week, Tina of her furniture.
I took a cake stand down and a really nice turntable unit and have cleared a round cabinet with drawers that I have. Then I got the steps and got the boxes down for the Beatrix Potter ornaments and then got them down nd boxed them up. There are twenty, mostly in the original boxes. Then I emptied the pine blanket box as that will need to go. Also my screen, which I love, but have no need for it in the new place. I will keep the screen with photos in. I have got rid of a lot of the soft toys but got another one today!
I have boxed the rest of the soft toys, so getting on. I suggested we had fish and chips for tea and went down to get them when Tina had finished her interview with a wedding couple. Talking of Tina she wore the sweatshirt I got her in America today.
Feeling pretty tired but will endeavour to get the Christmas cards started!

  1. You must be sick of the sight of Christmas cakes now! You spend months of your life on them. Nearly done though, and next year will be a doddle compared to the previous years 😊 You’re like a little factory unit. It’ll seem weird not making so many.
I hope the auction house manage to sell off all the bits and pieces you both have. It’ll be a big job out the way.
I really like the sweatshirt and it looks good on the Rev. They’ll love that up north with the tartan on it 😊 I was thinking, maybe you could persuade Darren to wear a kilt πŸ˜‚
I’ve done my three Christmas cards!

  2. I will be pleased to get the cakes finished this year, and handed out so that I can concentrate on more pressing things! It certainly will be odd not making numerous cakes next year.
The sweatshirt looks great on Tina, it was one of those have to buy it moments.
Fingers crossed we shift some stuff in the auction.
