Moving on …..

This morning I started on the earring mountain and other bits of jewellery. I have a small box filled with earrings, including odd ones and other bits and pieces for Isobel to root through if she wants to. She likes beads so may be worth dismantling a few. Then I emptied the two jewellery cabinets, one of them is musical. I took a photo and went over to see Haley and Sher and see if they would like them for Number Nine. They said yes, so I went over again nd dropped them off. Haley asked if I would mind if she rubbed them down. Said it was fine, they were hers to use a she wished.

Tina had ordered some blow up baubles for a service tomorrow, the biggest ones re nearly as bit as me, they had fine inflating them last night!
This afternoon I counted and bagged various small coins. I have jars and bottles for different denominations. Those that didn’t fill a money bag I have put together in one container until we move. I went to the banking hub and paid in the full bags.
I maid soup yesterday evening with all th veg I had left, it turned out well, so that has been lunch and dinner today.
I took the bin out early evening, and as it was dark tried taking the street lights, but not too successfully!
Christmas Eve tomorrow, going up to the potteries to see Rob in the morning and may even make some mince pies!

  1. You’re definitely on a roll again today. I think it’s all the small bits that take the time when you’re determined to thin things out. A lot of people would just take all the jewellery etc and say they’ll sort it when they arrive, trouble is that rarely happens. If it makes it to the new address you end up keeping it all 😊 Hopefully Isobel will find use for the oddments you have left over. The two little cabinets are really nice. I’m sure they’ll make good use of them in the shop.
Those baubles are very large. I can’t imagine why she needs such big ones. What is her service about? πŸ™‚
The ladies at the banking hub are going to miss “the earring lady” when you move. I think you’re probably unique in Hornsea 😊
Glad your soup turned out ok. There’s something very warming about soup in the winter. Saves wasting veggies too.
The street light pics aren’t bad. They give a better idea of what they’re like. They’re easier to make out.
Christmas Eve already! Looking on the bright side that means it’s cake day! I might have cake for breakfast, but I doubt it πŸ˜‚
Try to take it easy for the rest of the night.

  2. I am still trying to keep motivated and want to thin out as I pack. Begins to make you aware of just how much you have to do that.
I will miss our chats at the banking hub, they are a really nice group of ladies.
The veggie soup is pretty good, I usually make soup that I really don’t like!
I hope you enjoy the cake as much as usual after the anticipation.
