I started clearing the landing of pictures yesterday and got all the picture pins out this morning and found that my pliers are so stiff they are pretty useless. Darren and I went up to the boot sale site but nothing there. Even if it is saved it closes in January anyway, so doubt we will be going there again! Had a chat with Anya and then got dinner for lunchtime today.
After dinner I went for a walk, a very grey day and it did start to spit with rain fter I had set off. Despite the grey day this large bush was a bright sight.
Called in and said hi to Sher and Haley as the shops were open today. I think the street lighting in Hornsea is nice, and not over the top.
I haven’t really decorated but do discover this which I painted last year and was pleased with.
I don’t want all the pictures I had on the landing so they will go to the charity shop, the rest of the things are now packed! I have spent a couple of hours going through a box of cards, letters and photos that I decided to keep. Have gone though it twice and have probably reduced the amount by a half. I have over such boxes so a lot more thinning out to come!
Watching a Christmas special of a programme I like now, so no more sorting this evening!
That’s a sad thing, no more boot sales ☹️ I do hope you and Darren find one near your new home. It’s a tradition now on a Sunday morning for you two.
ReplyDeleteIt’s been a grey day here too and we had some rain this afternoon/evening. The dykes and ditches up your way look very full at the minute. I hope you don’t get too many more heavy downpours or you’ll need a boat!
The street lighting does look tasteful. You should try for a nighttime shot of it.
I remember you doing Mary and Jesus. It really is lovely. Wrap it well!
It’s amazing all the cards, pictures etc we collect over the years. We wouldn’t save them if they didn’t mean something at the time. So don’t be to hard while sorting and think you have to throw lots away. You might be glad of having them at a later date.
Enjoy relaxing now with a bit of telly in readiness for doing it all again tomorrow 😊
