I haven’t been out today, except to put stuff in the bins. Someof the day trying to make it look a bit less I am getting ready to move as Anya and family are coming up to Hornsea tomorrow to spend a couple of days with us.
Then a lot of the day was taken up with making crackers to pull with the family tomorrow. I had bought little items to go inside when we went to Beverley a few days go. The first job was pushing out the diamonds ( sorry Tina, the rhe buses) there were twenty two on each cracker, then had to tape the snaps in and assemble them. I did a couple of snaps and then happily went on assembling and was half way done when I realised I hadn’t put the amps in!
I had put minimum decoration on, I hadn’t realised they were plain.
Then it was tying one end and then adding the heat, joke and gift. There is a discreet initial on them all so they go to the right recipient.
I got a nice surprise package this afternoon, a t shirt from Kate who had got me a college shirt. I still have, and wear one from Rebecca.

You are moving, so it’s hard for not to look like you’re not. I’m sure Anya won’t mind a bit of clutter here and there.
ReplyDeleteI think the finished crackers look brilliant. I quite like the fact that they’re semi plain with a little bit of decoration. Lovely. I still say that with everything else you have to do you’re mad spending ages doing something like that 😂 They are good though and they’re personal. Seems a shame after all that work that they’ll get torn up!
That was nice of Kate to send you the shirt. They’ll have you cheerleading next time you visit 😂
Enjoy your evening with a boy named Sue.
Tina did say she had some ribbon but I think the string supplied worked well. They will certainly be different to the usual ones.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy a bit of Johnny Cash, I like seeing the footage of him in Folsom prison
