I wrote my Christmas cards last night so went out before nine to get them posted. Took a photo of the charity shop window on the way back.
A sort of fairy for the top of the tree, they are quite imaginative.Back indoors I decorated the rest of the cakes and then started sorting through drawers in a craft cabinet. I got changed ready for David and Sarah to come for me as we were going to have lunch at Cherry Lane garden centre. They were coming at eleven which allowed more than enough time, they arrived before ten to eleven. We were sat at our reserved table by 11.15 am for a noon booking! So we had coffee and chatted. I didn’t take a photo of the starter but it was quite a large Brie and pickle tart with plenty of salad. We all had the cod for our main meal and it was a large helping, none of us ate it all and there were more sprouts still in the bowl.
David and Sarah had the desert as well. When the dropped me back at the house I texted Sher to see if she and Haley were in the shops today, then took a bag of stuff to the charity shop while I waited for a reply. The were both working today so I took the Christmas cakes to them. Sher reminded me that I was booked on a workshop tomorrow evening, and she asked if I could cover the shop for her on Saturday. I said I would.
Back home I got on with dinner, and have my feet up now before I go and finish sorting the drawers that are on the bed!

A busy day then one way or another. A lot more busy days to come with lots more things to tick off your list. At least you got out for what looks like a very nice lunch. Always best to be early don’t you think? Nothing worse than rushing around once you get there.
ReplyDeleteTwo more cakes finished and gone. You’ll miss all the cake excitement……not 😂 I think Sher will miss you. It’s nice she has someone she can trust to look after the shop at short notice.
Not much feet up time this evening if you’ve still got stuff to sort. Pandora won’t be happy!

It was a full day, probably will be today too, just a case of deciding where to start!
