This morning I did a few minutes on the jigsaw and then got ready to walk up to Freeport. Not quite as cold today so not a bad walk. No bookings at the pottery today and the paint pots had been filled at the weekend, so I did a bit of clay work but using old clay so had the wedge it quite a lot, the mornings work out! I made a dish with slabs, just s fairly small one with low sides. I am hopeful that I have sealed it well. Then a couple of plaques which I were supposed to be trinket dishes but the clay was too stiff to bend. Then I painted the little house I made before Christmas.
I left just before two and walked to the care home to visit my friend. I stayed with her for over two hours and then walked home.what a lovely walk, the sun setting behind me and the moon rising ahead.
So a busy day and now a quiet evening. No sketch yet but I will decide on that in a bit.
A busy day and a lot of steps. I really like the dish you made with the mushrooms inside it. I hope it stays in one piece during the firing as I know the trouble some of them have on Throw Down when slab building. I think the little hose is going to look really nice when it’s fired too. I still love the bees on the top 🙂
ReplyDeleteYou got some really great pics on your walk home this evening. Even the slightly blurry ones work with the subject matter.
I’m wondering what the sketch will be today.
The pics were all on four second exposure so keeping the phone relatively still is a challenge! Made the walk more enjoyable though.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed my little dish/bowl stays sealed.
The sketch will be on the blog today, no spoilers!
