We left for Hull reasonably early as we were giving Rosie and Hattie a lift to the station. Then Tina had dental and hygienist appointments so that was the next port of call. After that we went into town and walked to the old town to an area I hadn’t visited before.
Some nice statues before o we went to look round the Street Life museum.
Lots of photos to follow, some with information signs.
Took a couple of photos from a balcony on our way round.
We were fascinated by this cushion which looks like lace, we didn’t realise macrame could be so delicate.
We were looking inside a horse drawn carriage when a volunteer asked if we would like to sit in side and have a simulated ride! He shut us in and it was pitch black, we were being shaken so a fun pic of Tina inside!
I did my quick sketch in there and checked that I could return and do some sketching.
Will finish with a some pics of the streets and cobbled roads.
What great place to visit on your trip out to Hull. It looks a fantastic place. I’d love to go there myself. Some great old cars. I love the old bubble cars 🙂
ReplyDeleteSo much to look at and some great pics. The carriage ride must have been a lot of fun. I think the pic of Tina is really good considering the conditions. Very spooky.
It was nice to be able to do a quick sketch there too. You’ve got a really eclectic collection in that book now.
A great time out and some jigsawing thrown in. I bet you’re knackered 😊
It really is a great museum and free to visit. We didn’t see all of it, there is a bike section. With the cobbled streets it was like going back in time.
ReplyDeleteThe ‘ride’ was only a few minutes but it had the voice of the driver so it was fun.
