Before lunchI started sorting through my wrapping paper. I have enough Christmas wrapping paper to last the next few years, I should have checked before I bought any more! After lunch I walked to Jeans via the sea front. I took a couple of the waves as I love it when they is an off shore wind as the spray looks like horses manes. Didn’t catch it too well.
I had taken a picture of the folly earlier.
Jean was in fairly good spirits but is still having a lot of pain in her back and is frustrated not be be well enough to go to church. Terry showed me some of his drawings, he is a very talented man.
I have spent some time on the jigsaw, which is taking shape, a tricky one, but in a good way.
I picked up some sewed on my walk a couple of days ago so that was the sketch subject!
May try to get to the pottery tomorrow as the families painted pieces are ready.
A varied day for you again. Glad Bel enjoyed Christmas. It’s good she has nice neighbours. Like you, I have the willpower of a goldfish, so chocolates wouldn’t last long here either 🙂 It’s a real shame Jean can’t make it to the church as I know it’s a big part of her life. She must really miss it ☹️
ReplyDeleteWhat’s the betting you forget where you put the wrapping appear and end up buying even more next year?!
I like your pics of the waves. The colours are very reminiscent of old slide film. Rather be on the shore on a day like that though. Another unusual sketch. Looks very realistic to me. That book is going to be so good when it’s finished. Then you can start another one 🙂
I hope all the pottery made it through the firing 🤞
I have a wrapping paper box, which I went through yesterday, but it didn’t stop me getting more this year, or I should say last year!
ReplyDeleteIt was bitterly cold out and last night the big thick fluffy hood came out rather lighter ne I have been using.
Still a few pages left in the original sketch book, it has been good getting into the habit of using it daily.
