Walk, washing and trying a different recipe

I have had a fairly busy day compared to recent standards. I went to the church to give a package to Jean and then decided to walk to the post office to return a parcel for Tina and then went up and had breakfast at Lily’s. Lovely morning and clear skies.
I walked back cutting through the park.
The Dove House charity shop always seem to have good window displays.
I did a couple of loads of washing and put the clean bedding on Tina and Darren’s bed, could only manage the super size quilt cover as I have mastered the burrito method.
When I fed the birds I picked some everlasting flowers before the winter sets in.
I decided to try a recipe that was in a magazine. Slow cooker ‘rainbow risotto’. It took forever and I had to finish it off in a saucepan. Very tasty though.
Dentist first thing tomorrow, no actual appointment, just have to wait and hope!

  1. You have been busy. Certainly busier than me! It’s good that you’re managing to get out a bit, so make the most of it. Glad you got out for your Sunday breakfast. No booting for a week or two, but breakfast is better than nothing. Love the pics of the front, the first one in particular.
The park looks a little deserted. Not a bad day from the looks of it, but I bet it was a lot colder than it looks!
Trust you to spoil it all by doing boring stuff like washing. Still if it’s out the way now, you won’t have it to do later. Although I’m sure you’ll find lots of other things!
I like your ever lasting flowers. Will they keep going until next year?
Well if the rainbow risotto tasted as good as it looks, then I’m sure it was well worth the effort. I like risotto but it’s such a faff to make 😊
God luck with the dentist tomorrow 🤞

  2. The flowers will dry out completely now and last a good while, usually thrown out when they fade and get full of dust!
It was a lovely day, but cold, there wa a frost this morning,
Resting up this evening as don’t want the knee to start locking up again.
The risotto was good and I have some over for tomorrows lunch.
