Picking up a bit!

This morning I had a large letter to send and thought I would try and walk to the post office as all the post boxes have small apertures! I got there okay but didn’t attempt going up to the sea front, did a bit of shopping on the way back and went along to see Sher at her art shop. Had a bit of a catch up and was pleased that although my knee was sore,nI wasn’t too exhausted and it didn’t actually lock up as it has been. So a definite improvement on last week.
I asked her the best way to cut off the dying leaf from the large plant. More of that in a bit, but for now, the new one is beginning to open!
I took a couple of  photos in the back garden. It has been a nice day, apparently bad weather on the way tomorrow!
I cut the large leaf off with a craft knife at an angle as Sher advised. It is quite lovely so decided to press it.the trouble was, finding a book big enough to press it in was a challenge!
Did some household chores this afternoon and then got a couple of orders sorted, one for my veggies this week and some charity Christmas cards.
I have started the long awaited sewing project, one down and three to go of the first stage, will leave you to ponder on what the final item might be!
Going to get stuffing the other two this evening!

  1. Really pleased to hear the leg is improving a bit. I hope it stays that way and doesn’t decide to make you pay at a later date! But make the most of it while you can.
The plant is becoming fascinating. I look forward to seeing the leaf finally open, and I wish you luck pressing the old one. I’ll be interested in the outcome of that.
It’s been a reasonable day here too. Not looked at the forecast for tomorrow but it sounds like it’s going downhill ☹️
I have no clue what the sewing project will turn into! Can’t wait to find out though 😊

  2. Good to be feeling a bit better and a little more mobile, but won’t hold my breath, as probably not going to keep going that way! But making the most of it and hoping for the best. I have never had one of these big plants so I am finding if fascinating, just the way it is unfolding! Might be a while before yu see the final sewn object!
