First gardening in a while

Will start with a sunset at sea picture thanks to Tina.
Angela came to the hose at nine, it was raining so she collected the money that needed counting and we got the banking ready in the dining room. Then we went to Beverley and had some breakfast before going to the bank. A photo for Mikes benefit, bah humbug and all that!
My leg was a bit achey today but we enjoyed a wander in Beverley and it had stopped raining which was a bonus. I walked along to the factory shop as they give out scratch cards every time you buy something if you have loyalty card. I was there the other day and got a card and I actually won a bottle of scent.
It is quite a nice scent andI like floral ones. Had another rest for a bit and then decided to try and do a bit in the garden, the sunflowers needed removing.
I filled the wheelbarrow like this five times!
I did gather up all the canes. There are a couple of roots left in the bed and some weed, but quite clear now.
Took a picture of the clouds before heading indoors.
I did sort out a box of books in te porch which had got really wet. Luckily only one book was beyond saving.
Feeling quite weary now so may write a couple of letters but will finish with a couple of photos of birds on the deck sent by Tina. I wonder if they actually live on the ship or were just stopping over in passing?

  1. The sunset is lovely when you are out at sea. Nothing in the way. Worth going just for that.
    Me, humbug….. I may have changed…..but I haven’t, humbug!
You have been busy again with your trips out and the gardening. Hope you’re not completely knackered by the time they get back!
The sunflowers are nice, but it’s a lot of debris to clear away at the end of it.
I suppose a lot of the 4 birds travel along with the ship, but it depends how far off shore they are. Nice to have on the ship though.

  2. Quite active again and feeling good at the moment, fingers crossed it stays that way. It felt good to do a bit in the garden, makes me feel quite optimistic that I can keep it ticking over.
I am sure the cruise will be a tonic for Darren and Tina.
