Pick easy craft projects!

Last night I got the other two tubs stuffed, doing the three  took about four hours! Could see it was another idea that seemed like a good idea at the time!
Will post a morning shot of the leaf and finish with an evening one.
Tina and I were both expecting deliveries today and it was raining, so I took all the sewing stuff downstairs to make it easier to get to the door! Had to make a couple of templates, quite simple ones, as the pattern for what I would making had then on line.
Blue was under the weather again today so Tina made an appointment to take her to the vet. What with a poorly cat and trying to keep Darren’s minute Venus Fly Trap plants alive while they re any, I will be a nervous wreck!
Those are very tiny pots, about two inches across.
I spent most of the day working on the project, not quite as straightforward as I had imagined. But pleased with the result.
Tina went to the vet this evening and was then coming back for a meeting. Judy is having on overnight stay so Darren took us down to Lily’s for tea.
Will finish with the leaf, slowing unfolding.

  1. You do pick some jobs for yourself! I can see why those tubes took you so long to stuff, they must be six foot long! Draught excluders for very wide doors? No? 😊
The leaf is opening very slowly. I suppose being so big it has to take its time.
No, the templates aren’t giving it away either.
Hope Blue is ok after the vet visit. Nothing too drastic?
Ask Darren what Venus fly traps live on when they are that small. Midges maybe? πŸ˜‚ Good luck keeping those alive while he’s away! 🌱😊
Ah, a wreath. Never would have guessed that from those tubes. It looks really good, but as usual you picked something with a lot of work in it. Worth it though. I take it you won’t be making any dozen as Christmas presents πŸ™‚
    Shetland tonight. Enjoy.

  2. Yes, why pick something simple when you can challenge yourself. I really hadn’t anticipated how long stuffing the tubes would take! But as you say, won’t be making many more!
The slow motion leaf opening has really kept me interested, maybe fully open tomorrow.
