Dentist and rearranging

I had to go to the dentist for 8.30 am but didn’t have an actual appointment, it was a turn up and wait situation. The weather was dreadful, very windy and very cold rain! Got to the dentist at 8.25 am, the door was still locked and wasn’t opened for ten minutes. Then their computers were down so they couldn’t see anyones records or details. They cancelled a couple of appointments and a lady who was first on the list gave up as she needed to get to work. I was surprised to be called in just before ten. X-ray taken this time and she said there is no decay and the tooth is sound. The X-ray was okay except for a darkening of the gum near the root. So for now it is live with it and get in touch again if it becomes more of a problem. Fifty pound for the emergency appointment, it wasn’t raining quite as hard when I walked home, and it did brighten up for a while during the day.

I had some breakfast and messaged Sher who said she would call in to see me today. She messaged back to say she would text when she was on her way,

I decided to do a bit of tidying in the porch as I wanted to get out a small cabinet that has been there since we moved. The cat has clawed at my bathroom cabinet so thought this one could go upstairs as it is in better condition. There was a cupboard in front of it that I needed to move out of the way, Pandora had to investigate!

The garden bin is collected tomorrow and apart from food waste ours was empty. I took the cutters up when I went to put it out and trimmed tack the lavatera which was hanging well into the street. So the bin was fairly full by the time I had pruned it.

I saw these fungi a few days ago When they were fine but I didn’t have the phone with me. Today they looked dead but still interesting.

I went back to the porch, got the cabinet out and cleaned it up and then left it by the bottom of the stairs so that Sher could help me carry it up when she visited.

Sher had been telling me that she was going to get me something to do while Darren and Tina were away, she had been looking for something as fiddly as possible, she managed that! Similar to the greenhouse but smaller! I left the mug in the picture to give and idea of the finished size.

I meant to post a picture of Darren in their cabin when they boarded the ship yesterday. A couple of days at sea now I think.

The cabinet is now in place and everything moved across, it is a lighter colour that the old one and looks good.
