This morning I caught the bus up to Freeport as I wanted to buy a different embossing frame but sadly they didn’t have any so will check on lone. Good to see Abi and Mags though. I walked home and tried to see where Elaine’s house is but the numbering was really bizarre, ended up asking a couple of workmen who pointed me in the right direction. Went to the shop as it was my turn to supply cake! Had lunch and then walked to Elaine’s where we sat out in the garden nattering for an hour or so. Saw this cut through on my way and promising clouds! It looked promising but no sign of rain yet and the sky has brightened again.
I did a bit if bramble clearing for half an hour or so when I got home. The mixed bag of gladioli bulbs seem to be a mixture of all white ones!
The clematis we bought a while ago and it is now like a tree of fluff balls.
Should have a bit more to report tomorrow!
Well you’ve kept yourself pretty busy for the day, and quite a few Fitbit steps clocked up I bet.
ReplyDeleteI love little alleys and cut through like that. Specially in the red brick. Most modern estates don’t seem the same at all, mainly because they tend to use light coloured and washed out bricks. Sad really. Me that is not the world :-)
The flowers are looking good, particularly the fluffy one, even though they are all white!
Not doing too badly with the steps this week, maybe a bit easier if it cools down a bit.
ReplyDeleteYes, the old alleys are attractive.
