We had breakfast with Darren before he went away for the weekend. Tina is not well so we couldn't take her along this time. We took a walk up the Humble Pie, a very good pie shop where all the goodies are made on site. We had a speciality pork pie from them the other day and Mike fancied taking some home but sadly they were closed today. We then took a trip to the wood supply place at Snainton, Mike usually fits a trip in there to get more wood and acrylic to make pens. I am usually tempted to buy something and today it was a little pot turned in acrylic. It has a screw thread top.
Then we headed off to Dean's Garden Centre as I wanted more seed for the birds and some paving slabs to put on the lawn where I feed them as it is getting muddy under foot! I bought two and they are based on an old half penny.
So a bird theme going on there, cleaned out the bird feeders this morning, not that easy, but where the rain seeps in they had started to have mouldy areas. Got one or two bits of shopping on the way back and have had a lazy afternoon watching the last two Lewis episodes.
Shame about the pies, maybe next time I visit they'll be open.
ReplyDeleteAnother nice day, eating, shopping, and visiting a wood shop. What more could anyone ask for? :-)
Not a lot if your name is Mike!
DeleteYour day sounded great, poured with rain here all day, I have another cold so stayed put, so many people with them. Roll on spring. The little pot is lovely is it Black and White? Those birds are getting well looked after. Shame about the pit's tho. It won't be long before you are painting all the spring flowers xx
ReplyDeleteYes it is black, white and grey, very pretty. No rain here, a bit grey but okay really. My cough doesn't want to go away, and Tina is really poorly at the moment. Like you say, a lot of it about. xxx
