I stayed home this morning, getting stuff ready for the craft class tomorrow. I was impressed with myself as I used packing from the bookcase for the signs and packing from calendars for the letters, so extremely green! Even got my mini drill out, when I remembered where I had hidden it, to make the holes to hang the signs from.
I needed to go to town to get sandpaper to make sure the wood has no rough edges. This evening I have cut up some nice coloured papers into small squares so that Edward and Molly can decorate the letters before we stick them on. I have more signs and card so can do the same for any other takers! When I walked into town I went up to look at the south bay, took a picture on this drab January day.
Also took a picture of the statue of Queen Victoria which is in serious need of a good clean!
I called in at the pottery studio on the way back and painted the figurine's skin. The photo shows the impurities in the clay, but as it is larger than life I think once fired it will look okay. Only spent half an hour or so this time.
I sent off for The Inspector Lynley Mysteries box set and am watching the pilot at the moment. I have never seen it before and it is really good, so looking forward to seeing the characters progress.
I recognise that wood!
