Last night I made up a couple of flasks of coffee (small one weaker for me!) and Mike Darren and I went down to the seashore. We had a walk along the beach, there were a few folk around and they soon started setting off fireworks. There were also fireworks going off from the cliff top. It wasn't too cold and it was a great way to see in the new year.. Not up too early today and watched an episode of Lewis, then took a trip to B & Q to get some shelving. Once back I started to prepare for dinner and Mike put me two shelves in the little room where I make teas etc. Then this afternoon we had quite a long walk through Peasholm Glen. Took several pictures and will post a few.

As we wandered through the glen we gathered up thick twigs/thin branches that had been blown down as Mike made some great pens from one he found last time he was here! Might put a picture of my Peasholm pen on here tomorrow!

  1. It's a lovely park, with lovely twigs. I'll dry them out and hopefully make more pens..... for a change :-)

  3. Lovely pics, such a wonderful park, you are lucky to be so close. Great for Mike to get the twigs to make the pens, such a talented man. I would be interested in buying a fountain pen from him if he wanted to sell one, let me know no rush. X
