Firstly I will post the picture of my Peasholm pen, let's hope the twigs he has collected turn out to be such nice wood!
Today we took ourselves to Filey, well actually, Mike took me to Filey! A beautiful day again except for a pretty keen and cold wind. We parked on a steep hill just away from the front, as it was surprisingly busy there. I took a photo of Mike by the fisherman statue to give a better idea of just how big it is.
Then he took a silly one of me being 'caught' by a giant lobster!
We had a walk on the beach and I can now feel another great hobby coming on for Mike. The stones there are just lovely and so many different colours. He collect quite a lot and is tempted now, I think, to get a rock tumbler machine! We saw this tree trunk, presumably felled, but it had lots of pennies half in it. Any ideas why that was done originally?
Then a couple of 'arty shots'. the sea through some fishing nets.
Seagulls from a different angle,
Rippled sand,
and waves breaking on rocks out at sea.
We walked pretty much the whole length of the front, plus a wander in the town and then had to go up the steep hill back to the car. We had lunch back in Scarborough and have had a lazy afternoon!
