Official moving day!

I didn’t sleep very well and was up quite early, I was dreading getting Pandora into the shower room. In the end that went well although it still made me feel bad. I had put bedding in the shower yesterday and the litter tray has been in there since we arrived. So I took her food in there this morning and she followed me and I managed to shut the door before she realised what I was going to do. After that we heard no crying or scratching and when I opened the door several hours later she had obviously been on the bedding, had eaten a little and had used the litter tray, she has been so good. She is wandering round the house and sniffing everything and is a bit wary, but she is okay.

The guys turned up a bit after nine and loaded the stuff we didn’t want to keep before bringing stuff in. They had loads of material for covering the carpets. Most of my bonsai trees arrived in tact, as did most of the house plants. I have way too much furniture and belongings so more work is probably needed!

We had fish and chips which Tina drove into Dunkeld to get. There are no take away deliveries in the area.

We have been trying to get the chaos a bit under control but have both given up for the day now.

I will add some photos. The first one of mt sitting room is before all the chairs and other bits came in!

A lot of my boxes are in the other room which will be Darren’s workshop, I still have a lot of boxes to unpack! But the kitchen is crammed and we can’t get to the cupboards so I imagine that will be the next priority.

  1. It’s really good that Pandora didn’t have to be chased around and forced into the room. She’s been really good the whole move, so I’m sure she’ll soon settle in once the chaos disappears.
It’s not good, but I suppose a couple of breakages are to be expected. Could have been worse.
Fish and chips are always good after a hard day. I’ve not had either for a while, fish and chips or a hard day 😊
That’s a lot of stuff stacked in there, but it looks homely now. It’ll soon come round and be liveable. Knowing you you’ll manage to fit more stuff in than you think 😊
Well I hope you sleep well as I’m sure you’re totally knackered. You can start all over again tomorrow 😊

  2. Pandora is curled up at the top of the cat tower now, which is good to see.
I am quite exhausted and won’t be that long before I head for bed.
The wooden eagle arrived safely, we now have to find a suitable place for him, he won’t be one of the things that have to go!
We may go out for a bit tomorrow and leave the chaos for a bit.
