Shopping and sorting

This morning we went to the Tesco in Perth hoping to buy me single quilt and a new tv for my room. We got the quilt okay but that Tesco doesn’t sell tvs. We went to Curry’s, I wanted a tv a little bigger than my previous one which was a 24 inch. The next size now is a 32 inch which will seem quite big on my room. We didn’t buy one there Tina has ordered it from an independent dealer. They will phone when it is in. I was using Tina’s screen but she needs it now for her computer, but I can watch what I want to on the iPad. I took some photos from the car on the way.

We had a drink before we came home, then it was back to sorting. Me while a guy came to erect the new storage shed. He moved the small one on his own and my pic is when he hadn’t been working long. He was working until well a  dark and got the roof on!
I have numerous boxes in the room that will be Darren’s workshop but at the moment it is so crammed that I can’t get in to find them. I imagine I still have twenty or so to open which is a scary thought as I emptied the three I still had in the bedroom and am struggling to find anywhere for the contents!
On a brighter note my Davenport is now uncovered and I intend to write some letters sitting at it this evening.
I went for a short walk to get a bit of air late afternoon. The pavements here have all been salted which is good. I walked to the start of a trail and to my surprise that had been salted too.

I stopped nd turned round when the salting stopped!

The view of the village as I headed back.
The hotel is being refurbished, but it is a striking building.

This is Peter Rabbit and the Flopsy bunnies in the Beatrix Potter garden.
We have had dinner, I have ordered some things I need and going to write a couple of letters soon.

  1. Every pic is brilliant. So much scenery and architecture to photograph. You may have to get the big camera out before long.
Why didn’t you get the tv at curry’s, was it cheaper elsewhere. It’s a pain in the bum, and the eyes watching stuff on the iPad.
Hopefully you’ll be able to get at your boxes, although maybe you don’t want to, once some bits go in the new storage shed. At least the Davenport is now usable. I like the funky use of the shelving on top of it. Not everyone would have thought of that ๐Ÿ™‚
I’m really surprised the salt the trail too. Things seem to be done so much better up there.
It’s all coming together, slowly, but it’ll be worth all the effort. Once it’s all done you can concentrate on exploring your new surroundings. From what I’ve seen of the relatively local stuff so far, you’re going to find so many beautiful scenes that a begging to be photographed! Lucky beggar ๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. It is a lovely area and it has been quite varied with the weather changes in the short time I have been here. Did you notice the bookends you made for me many years ago are on the funky shelving arrangement.
You are right, I am not enthusiastic about finding just how many boxes I have yet to unpack!
They are certainly on the ball with coping with the weather changes, but I guess they get a fair bit of practice!
