The Loch of the Lowes

We were up later this morning and got ourselves ready to go to the Loch of the Lowes. I will write a bit now and then just add lots of  photos. The little robin greeted us as we arrived. The photos of the ducks, seen through the window at the gift shop were under the bird feeders waiting for the seeds to drop. The slightly blurred on of the duck on its own was  particularly clever as he just laid there and pecked away at the fallen seeds. We were excited to see our first red squirrel. It is a magical place.

On another note Pandora is enjoying going out, and I actually nipped to the shop while she was out, think I was more anxious than she was, but she stayed in the garden and greeted me when I got back.
We had lunch in Dunkeld on the way home and have both been beavering away at emptying boxes this afternoon. We both made good progress but still have a long way to go.

  1. Worth getting up early as it’s a lovely place. The red squirrel just makes it so much better 😊 So many nice pics, and very clever ducks.
It’s great that Pandora is getting out now. I’m sure you’re right, you would be a lot more anxious than her. At least you know she ok out there now. It must seem very strange to her.
You need these trips out to break up the unpacking or you’ll both go mad 😊
    Enjoy your evening.

  2. It was a great trip, I am sure we will be going there a lot. It is about a two mile walk along a tricky path, but my aim is to build up to it!
There are beavers and otters there and a huge variety of birds at different times of the year, including ospreys. Seeing it in the different seasons will be good too.
Pandora obviously feels at home now, although she is a bit bewildered with l all the box emptying and general chaos!
