A busy day and a lot of photos!

I am not going to write a lot today, I will let the numerous photos do the talking for me!

This morning we took a walk into Dunkeld, went into a lot of the shops and enjoyed getting the feel of the place, so photos from the morning now.

We walked home and had a snack of stuff we had bought at a nice bakery then we got into the car to drive to The Hermitage which is a Scottish National Trust area. Tall scotch pines and beautiful raging water in some parts. Again, I will let the pictures do the talking.

We were even there when the train went over the viaduct!
Back indoors and not doing a lot this evening, it was so nice to do this initial exploring with Anya.

  1. I am so envious you wouldn’t believe, well you probably would actually 🙂 Even on a misty day it all looks so beautiful. So different to where you were. This move will keep you busy taking pics all seasons for a very long time. The mist adds to a lot of the pics, but I’m sure it’ll all look very spectacular when bathed in some nice sunshine.
So many lovely pics I don’t think I could pick a favourite. The pines are lovely. They make the trees around here look very small 🙂 The water raging away like that is so dramatic. I wonder if it’s so fierce just because of the rain we’ve had or if it’s always like that? The best thing is that you’ll get to find out later in the year. Assuming the rain ever stops 😊
As you say, it’s brilliant that you got to do the first real look round with Anya as company.
Have a good evening and enjoy the rest of your time with Anya. Although I’m sure she’ll be back up there with the whole family sooner than you think 😊

  2. It was a really good day and I think the water is extra raging because of the amount of rain. It really was lovely wandering around with .Anya, wouldn’t have been the same of on my own, and I couldn’t have walked to The Hermitage.
It was a a damp day but the rain wasn’t heavy.
Anya loves the place and she thinks Louis and Isobel would love it too, so they may all be up when the weather is a bit better.
