This morning Tina went off to get the car serviced, can’t remember where but a fair drive away. I decided to get my last box out of Darren’s room, it was a bit jammed in but I managed. It had an ornament of baby otters and by Peter Rabbit storage boxes. I love those boxes but I haven’t got room for them so I took them to the arts centre and they were happy to have them as toy boxes in the Peter Rabbit exhibition.
A bit later I got ready to walk to Dunkeld to go to a lunch session that happens fortnightly for people to go to socialise. The room was pretty full when I got there and the couple of people that I recognised were at a table that had no spaces. So I joined four other ladies who were friendly and we had soup and dessert and then tea and cake. I took some photos on the way.
The allotments near the bridge are very tidy, everything here seems to be kept tidy.Ii walked up to the shops when I left as I have two pairs of Jens which I really like but they have no pockets. I like to have pockets so I decided to make some patch pockets and wanted to find some material. I went into a a homewares shop and spent ages looking at tea towels in strong fabric. Decided on this floral one!

Another busy day for you. I knew you’d have to retrieve the last box out of Darren’s room! Stubborn old git springs to mind 😂 But it’s the LAST box, you’ve finished, well unpacking at least. I’m sure you’ll still keep rearranging things for a while until everything is perfect. Shame about the Peter Rabbit boxes but at least they’ve gone to a very appropriate place.
ReplyDeleteMore people you’ve met. Sounds quite a pleasant little get together. Will you go again?
Not such a nice day weather wise judging by the pics. But still very nice scenery. The allotments do look rather neat. They definitely seem to take more pride in their surroundings up there. I think it’s great. I wish they did down here ☹️
I like the tea towel you chose for making pockets. It even seems weird typing it. But you do have an eye for these things, so I’m looking forward to seeing the pics of the finished item.
The fused glass does look nice in a bit of sun. I bet it seems ages ago that you made them with everything that’s been going on lately!
I like the old railway bridge. The rust just adds a bit of character to it. It seems like you know your way around better than Tina. Is it day trip she’s going on?
You’ll be gagging to get out to see if your new route works. Don’t get lost 😊
Yes, will still being quite. Bit of rearranging but at lest I know the amount of stuff that I have to accommodate. It will be fun in, will make me think outside the box so to speak!🤣
ReplyDeleteThe lunches are every other Tuesday until June, there is a break for the summer,I probably will go along again.
It will be interesting to investigate the different footpath, I sure there are many more to find that are a reasonable distance.
It is a meeting Tina is going to tomorrow, she has to be out before 7.30 so we will both set alarms!
I am enjoying the new tv, easier on the eyes.
