This morning I walked into town to catch the bus to the hospital. Meera, the physio is really lovely, but is still at a loss as to what to suggest to help with the pain. She examined my ankle and took measurements to test the movement again. The movement is now about the same as the other, so the exercise has done some good, but has done nothing for the pain! I have an appointment with the doctor in about 10 days so will see what he suggests. I can phone Meera if he needs a report doing or if he wants me to return to physio, but at the moment no more appointments made. Darren was picking me up from the hospital at the North entrance so that we could meet Tina for lunch and do a bit of shopping. Tina had to put the car in for it's MOT so we were meeting at McDonalds near the garage. I have no idea what these chimneys are for at that side of the hospital.
This van, or I should say the name on the van, just amused me as I waited!
After lunch and shopping at a couple of stores Darren and I brought the shopping home. Darren had to drop me on the street as there were no spaces due to the ongoing cricket match. I was feeling quite achy by then, usually am when my ankle has been poked and prodded. So I have watched another Liam Neeson film that I bought at a boot sale. This one was called Seraphim Falls and was a gritty western. Charlie had been relaxing on the landing, it was a little livelier when Blue joined the party!
Not a good picture as the light was bad, but you get the idea.
A few more Just So pictures I think. A great show imitating a silent movie.

It was fantastic, the highlight of the weekend for me I think. There was an ice cream van covered in knitting.
And a fun show in the woodland theatre.

It was about archaeology and very funny, the lady had been going around with pretend poo in the photo and dropping it around the audience!! Dinner is smelling good, so heading downstairs now.

  1. A busy morning for you. Shame you didn't come away from the hospital with better news, but as you say the exercise must be doing some good. Sounds like it'll be exercise and lots of pills!
Didn't realise Liam Neeson had made any westerns. But any film with your feet up has to be good.
The knitted ice cream van is great. Bet it's a bit soggy, and saggy in the rain though.

  2. It was a pretty good film, had to cover my eyes a few times!! The knitting on the ice cream van seemed to be holding up pretty well. Got to try and keep positive about the ankle I suppose.

  5. The fun show looked amazing, these people work very hard to please, we saw car's covered in knitted arrangements in Spain but of course they don't have the problem of them getting wet very often. I'm sorry to say my opinion on the ankle is not what you want to hear, I think you will always have some pain. You have to take care exercise as much as it will allow but rest more. Try to lose a few pounds, I'm sure it will help. Not easy I know or what you need to be told. SORRY. Have the odd indulgent, cream cake ( for me a sherry). I'm sure it will help long term. Love you to bits.xxxx

  6. I agree with what you say, the weight is definitely something I need to get under control. Liking food and it not being easy to exercise doesn't help, but I will try a bit harder! Love you too. xxx
