This morning Charlie was at my door wanting feeding at 5.20 am, so an early start today. Tried sleeping again for a while but went down with him when Darren was getting ready to leave at about 6.20 am. I wanted some shopping and Tina suggested a quick fix to make my room darker when Isobel stays for a couple of nights, she also needed cat food. So we went to Dunelm and Pets at Home and then onto Sainsbury's. My ankle was pretty sore this morning but the pain was different , so I am still hopeful that the sandals are having some effect. Haven't done much walking today. When we were home and unpacked we watched a bit of Olympics before Tina went to the church to sing in the choir at a wedding. While she was out I decided to get the kennel put together which arrived earlier in the week. Just beginning.
Getting there.
And done!
Tina went out to look at it when she got home and Charlie was hiding under the pink rubbish collector as usual!! Haven't taken a reasonable photo of a garden spider for a while.
In Sainsbury's I spotted lovely cup and saucers on sale. Got two, was just going to get one but Tina suggested I got two so that I could have a civilised cup of tea with a visitor. So got the silly teapot out this afternoon and had tea in the cup instead of a mug.
Tina replenished my flowers with these pretty carnations today.
Not much planned apart from more Olympics, but may pack some of the ornaments on the landing away as I have decided to give up on the gate before we have to decorate the whole house!
Well even though you've not been out walking, you've had a bit of a productive day with the kennel. Do cats know they're supposed to use kennels? Pink containers look much more fun, and cheaper. I think I'd banish all the cats from the house rather than have to pack ornaments away! Or rather than tie the gate to the top of the stairs, tie the cats to the bottom!
ReplyDeleteI do like your cup and saucer. You just need a plate of crustless sandwiches and a few little cakes to go with them :-) When you got the milk bottle, did it come with a lid? I've looked in lots of places for them in town, but not had any luck.
Lovely flowers again. You're spoilt!
I have certainly never had so many flowers, very lovely to have the fresh flowers. Charlie obviously doesn't know he is supposed to go in the kennel, yet, we will try putting some cat treats in there.
