An amazing sky again last night, it changed many times but will just post a couple of pictures.

This morning I slept in a bit, Charlie was upstairs with me but didn't get me out of bed wanting feeding. Darren fed him and let him out and at about 8 am there was a ferocious cat fight that got me out of bed! Went down and Darren said it was Charlie and a big fluffy black and white cat. We have seen Charlie, he has been in and out during the day, and seems to be fine, which is good. I caught the bus into town, collected my package and then made my way home. I called in at Let it Brie, and had a cup of tea and bought some lovely cheeses. Smoked blue cheese and Wensleydale with ginger. I decided to not take any painkillers this morning, I did wear an ankle support and it wasn't too bad, but my right knee has been really painful today! I packed up some ornaments and then got the ex display curtains I bought yesterday and the stick on velcro and set about seeing if I could black out the light a bit in the bedroom for when Isobel sleeps over for a couple of nights. I have not had curtains, apart from the net since I came here, but the light doesn't bother me at all. Isobel is used to a dark room and the sun rises and shines right into my bedroom. It is a makeshift arrangement but will do the job!
I talked to Darren very nicely and he used the electric mower to do the front lawn. If we were staying in this house then the lawn would come up, it is lumpy and full of couch grass and dandelions! Even the electric mower doesn't do a great job on it.
Went to the Victorian Tea Party with Tina this afternoon in the church and the grounds. They raise a lot of money which helps with restoration work on the church.

There was an incredibly loud seagull on the top of the church, making us all very aware of his/her presence!
Had dinner with Darren and Tina and have the Olympics on for a change. Do I stay up half the night is the question of the moment!

  1. They really are cracking skies!
Glad you got out for a bit, it always makes you feel a bit better. A few little jobs done helps too. I'm sure Isobel will still wake up early when she's with you. It's exciting sleeping over. And you won't sleep, in case she doesn't sleep.......all good fun :-)
The lady on the right in the first pic of the tea party put me in mind of Ruby. Looks like it was an interesting event, and good to have a look around, even if the gull didn't want any of you there!
Stay up, watch the Olympics. Have a lay in tomorrow :-)

    1. I can see what you mean about Ruby, Christine is a formidable lady, as Ruby was in healthier days. Maybe I will, quite a lot of good stuff going on now.
