I was going to catch the bus into town and walk up to Sainsbury's, I wanted to get supplies in for the Christmas cake marathon.Tina had the day off so said she would come with me, we had breakfast and shopped. I had been going into town but had a message from Sandy asking if I wanted to go with her to the park as she had to walk down to the doctors for a couple of appointments, bloods and her knee to be dressed. I said I would meet her there at 1.30 pm at the surgery. I wrote a couple of letters as I was in for a bit. Tina was settled with Colonel on her lap and Blue next to her, looking very content with her babies.
Went in with Sandy to see the nurse, her knee is healing so well that she didn't need a new dressing put on it. She still has to walk with two crutches when she is out and about but is doing really well as it is only two weeks tomorrow that she had the operation. We had a cup of tea at the cafe and then made our way to the kiosk and had an ice cream. Then a nice slow walk back which suited me and my ankle really well! On the way back we saw this cloud that looked like a tornado!!
I walked on to town after I had seen Sandy home, I thought I would walk up to the auction house and take a look. Nothing I really want, although if I spotted and American rocking chair I would make room for it. Didn't buy a catalogue and nothing caught my eye to buy, but loved this furniture and I know a man who could make me some if I ever have the room again!!

There were also a couple of great old wind up record players, this was the bigger one, complete with records.
I walked on into town then, couldn't buy the moisturiser I wanted but did buy a new case a bit smaller that the one I usually take when I go to America. Then I went to York Place and caught the bus home. Tina wanted some new bedding so we had a trip to Dunelms. So a lot of inning and outing today. The sky is looking dramatic tonight.
The decision tonight, is do I stay up half the night and watch the Opening Ceremony of the Rio Olympics, or go to bed. Tina suggested I make up the bed in here and then I cover both bases, I might just do that!

  1. Tina does look content with the two cats in that picture.
A busy day with lots of walking for you. You'll master that ankle yet!
Some nice stuff at the auction house. The furniture is nice, but I love the record player, and would probably buy it given half the chance, specially if it comes with records.
Some good sky shots again. It does look like a tornado and I had to double take when I first saw it. I knew it got rough in Scarborough occasionally, but not that rough :-) The last shot of the sky is my favourite today.

  2. Just about to do the shock treatment, sore tonight, but it has been worse. I love the sky pictures as you know, and I thought you would like the record player.

  3. I like the furniture, would never have room tho. As you know I'm not a cat person, but they do look comfy. Lovely to talk this morning. Take care xx
